Daily Post Class of the Year Award for North Wales students
Congratulations to our North Wales Blue Skies Level 1 students from Ysgol Uwchradd Caergybi (Holyhead High School) who won the Daily Post’s Schools Awards Class of the Year 2016! They thoroughly deserve this award for all their hard work and determination.
The event was held at Bangor University on 29th June with schools from across North and Mid-Wales attending. The Awards provide a great opportunity for schools, teachers and pupils to receive a well-deserved acknowledgment for the valuable work they do and there was much praise for all their efforts and achievements.
Hosted by singer and presenter Elin Fflur, the ceremony celebrated subjects including healthy living, school newspapers, active communities and the best primary and secondary schools. The Class of the Year award recognises a class that has worked together to really stand out through a campaign or special project and our JET students beat off competition from Year 5 Ysgol Esgob Morgan and Class 9, Ysgol Maesglas.
Thank you to the staff from Ysgol Uwchradd Caergybi for supporting JET, as well as to the RAF, BAE Systems, Ascent, ISS Catering Systems and Serco for the fantastic sessions they deliver.
