JET receives a Christmas present from Business Women’s Link
Festive diners from Business Women’s Link (BWL) have boosted our funds with a donation of £328, bringing their total raised for us this year to £748.
BWL members and their guests, who attended the network’s popular Christmas lunch, were delighted to welcome JET CEO Dr Emma Egging to speak at their annual event. More than 50 women attended the Christmas event at the Branston Hall Hotel in Branston, where they tucked into a festive meal and were updated by Emma about how JET’s unique programmes are having a growing impact in changing young lives for the better.
Everyone listened intently as Emma updated her audience on the progress being made by JET to inspire young people to overcome challenges and reach for the stars.
Impressed by JET’s Blue Skies and Inspirational Outreach programmes, BWL diners enthusiastically supported a bumper raffle to boost JET’s coffers.
BWL Chair Jo Richardson said: “Emma’s talk was absolutely fascinating. By adopting her late husband’s ambitions of raising young people’s aspirations, she and her Trust colleagues are changing lives for the better.
“We were thrilled to support the Trust’s work again, having already donated £420 raised at a raffle at BWL’s Summer Luncheon, earlier this year.”
Speaking after the event, Emma said “It was a pleasure to be invited to speak to a room of inspiring local business women. Thank you so much for your fundraising support this year.”
