I am thrilled to join the inspirational team at JET as the Area Director East. Having researched the wonderful work of JET, I was inspired to become a part of this brilliant organisation.
I first started my career within sports and fitness following the completion of a BSc (Hons) in Sports Coaching. Prior to Jet, I spent 9 years working for Norwich City Community Sports Foundation, where I gained a wealth of experience of working with young people, schools and the local community. Around 7 of those years my role was dedicated to the National Citizen Service, a government funded youth development programme. From going into schools and inspiring young people, to oversight and management of the programme. This experience enabled me to see firsthand the importance of teamwork, leadership and employability skills for young people. I then became a senior leader at the foundation as the Head of Growth, where I would seek new opportunities to grow the foundation, whether this be new funds, partnerships or programmes. This enabled me to work more strategically and understand wider aspects of the charity.
I am eager to leverage my skills and experiences to contribute to the impactful work of JET, in transforming the lives of young people across the country, whilst looking to grow and widen the reach of the youth we serve. I have a commitment to developing young people, JET’s mission to support vulnerable and under-confident young people to get back on track and realise their potential is one I am dedicated to upholding.
