Hi, I am Louise Pocock and I started with the Jon Egging Trust in April as a Youth Liaison Officer for North Wales. I am super excited to be part of the team and to work with the young people and partners through the Blue Skies Inspire programme. I am passionate about working with young people and I have a really good understanding of the challenges that they can face.
My previous role was supporting the Armed Forces in my role as a Personal and Family Support worker for SSAFA based at RAF Valley. I worked for SSAFA for 7 years, but prior to this I worked as a Child Protection Social Worker and as a Therapeutic worker for children with trauma and complex needs.
I was born and raised in Northamptonshire, but l moved to Nottingham where I studied to be a Social Worker. Nottingham became my home for 9 years and I have many fond memories of living there. Since leaving Nottingham I have lived all over the UK due to my Husband being in the Armed Forces. I am now settled on Anglesey where I live with my Husband, 4-year-old son Freddie and our crazy Golden Retriever, Bosun, who is nearly 9.
