I am very pleased to be joining JET as a Youth Liaison Officer for Lincolnshire. I will be supporting the Blue Skies and Outreach programmes to deliver inspiring and hopefully life changing sessions for our students and young people.
As an ex-Army Officer, I share many of the core values of JET, and it was those that made me want to join the team. As a Mother and Military wife I also understand a lot of the backgrounds of our students, and hope to support young people to be the best that they can be.
Communication, teamwork and leadership have always been at the centre of my working life, I can only hope to pass on some of this knowledge in my sessions and see the young people flourish within the programmes.
At home I am a keen baker and crafter, I am also a dab hand at DIY having spent the last 2.5 years renovating a Victorian property. I have always played team sports but now enjoy nothing more than donning the lycra for a cycle across my very flat (phew!) home County of Lincolnshire. Strava records here I come!
