After four months of hard work, 27 year 8 and 9 students from Priory Witham Academy in Lincoln graduated with flying colours during their end of course presentation session. Parents, special guests, members of the RAF, the Red Arrow team and special guest Patron, Prof. Brian Cox watched the students’ presentation where they reflected on everything they had done on the programme and all they had achieved.
Many of the RAF personal and volunteers involved in the programme were there to share the student’s success. Many commented on how they proud they were of the students and how much more confident they were compared to the beginning of the programme. Flt Lt Steve Morris, Red 7 said : I though the final presentation was outstanding. The Level 1 and 2 students got it absolute right and made everyone very proud indeed.
The presentation highlighted what the young people had learnt over the 10 session programme, and what skills they had developed to help them achieve more in their day to day life. High ropes, pool drills, meeting the Red Arrows, visiting the bomb disposal team and the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight were just some of the highlights mentioned by the students.
Priory Witham’s own team of young journalists were on hand to document the event. http://youngjournalistacademy.com/2015/06/11/professor-brian-cox-praises-blue-skies-graduates/
