Eleven weeks after starting the Inspirational Outreach Programme – ‘Gallwn/ Yes we can’ pupils from Ysgol Y Tywyn stood up and conducted a presentation to their peers, family and JET partners. They explained the activities that they took part in and shared what being on the IOP has meant to them.
“At first I was really shy and now I’m more confident in a group. I have had so much fun with JET and I know everybody even better. Thank you for letting me be part of the Jon Egging Trust.” Kaydee, 11
“I really enjoyed the experience of the Jon Egging Trust. It’s helped me develop a lot of teamwork skills such as confidence, encouragement, trust, taking turns, patience, listening, helping and lots of others. I feel like it has changed me as a person because I feel like before I didn’t really like working as a team. Thank you Jon Egging Trust for helping me as a person.” Molly, 11
It was great see the impact that JET has had on the young people and have an opportunity to share the celebration of their journey with their parents.
“This has been a fantastic opportunity. My child’s confidence has grown so much.” Parent
“I feel my daughter has more confidence when undertaking tasks and voicing her own opinion. I feel this opportunity has been beneficial in preparing her for high school.” Parent
The pupils were presented with a JET certificate for their achievements and a portfolio bursting with pictures and worksheets that they have completed over the weeks reflecting on each session. It was also lovely for our valued partners to see the impact they have had on the young people and for the pupils to once again thank them for their input.
